(My parents built a house in 1965 and I think they had five 'cans' in each room. Drove me crazy, even then.) Converting these recessed cans to regular pendant lighting used to be an expensive proposition until Worth Lighting, deep in the heart of Texas, invented their easy-change socket adaptor kit. Easy to install, just unscrew the can bulb and screw in the socket adaptor, set the hanging cord to the overall height you want and install the cover-plate. It is that simple. Comes as a complete kit: Mission Diamond Shade 5" wide by 7" high, 48" of black cord, ceiling plate and socket adaptor. Takes up to 100-watts, but use a 26-watt CFL for 100-watts of brightness while you save money and energy. Ceiling cover-plate is 7.75" diameter.
