Closeout...Last 2...Save $45...2 Only...(With thanks to a corresponding Naval Historian) The Armored Cruiser USS Brooklyn was a technological marvel in 1895 because it was totally electrified from Captain's cabin to crew quarters to ammunition hoists to electric powered gun turrets. It was far and ahead of anything afloat and at Queen Victoria's Diamond Jubilee Naval Review, the grandest naval review of all times, the Brooklyn was the envy of all including the Admiral of the British Home Battle Fleet who had to make due with a dangling light bulb over his desk while the Captain of the Brooklyn, a Yankee upstart no less, had 'fancy fixtures even to shave by'. House of Troy in Hyde Park VT has authentically reproduced the type of fixture found on the Brooklyn with a genuine Amber Art Glass shade and a rugged structure of cast brass with an Oil Rubbed Bronze finish. Very authentic even to the size: 8" overall height, 3.75" diameter shade, 7" wall extension, 60-watts candelabra, backplate is 2.8 wide, 5.5" high and comes with matching wall plate 4.75" wide and 5.75" long to cover electric wall box. A really great sconce.#HWL612OB Bright Spot Price Including Free UPS shipping
