Lit Base! So the story goes...a dirt poor Kansas farm boy with an eye for the 'main chance' won a small California silver claim by bluffing a poker game with just 3 Diamonds as his best cards. Over the years he became quite wealthy and one fine holiday commissioned a Mica and Art Glass lamp as a present for his son. Dale Tiffany's reworking of the theme features a shade of genuine Mica with an Art Glass 3-Diamonds vertical Mission stripe of green, red, amber and white. Shade features well reinforced corning with faux rivets and square heat-release vents as originally designed. The base is lighted and centered with the same art glass decoration and made more authentic with a 4-footed fortress style basepad. 24" tall, 15" square shade. All metalwork is finished in rich Mission Bronze. 7-watts candelabra in base, 2 x 60-watts in shade. 4-way base turn switch: base on, shade on, both on, off.
